With the announcement yesterday that he will not run as an independent candidate for governor, Lt Governor Bill Bolling took a not-so-subtle swipe at Cuccinelli’s extreme ideology.  Bolling is perhaps the highest profile Republican in the commonwealth who has publicly expressed concern about the direction of the party and called for a return to consensus-building and mainstream ideas.

Cuccinelli and others like him should take note: Virginians want a return to focus on mainstream concerns such as jobs, education, and the economy, instead of the type of out-of-touch attacks on women’s health care and civil rights that we’ve seen.

In his statement Bill Bolling said, “…  I have done my best to stand strong for the conservative values I believe in, while at the same time respecting the views of others and promoting consensus building and results, as opposed to confrontation and gridlock.…

“The political process has become much more ideologically driven, hyper-partisan and mean spirited.”

To be clear, Bill Bolling is not a moderate. In fact, he has a 0% rating from Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia. But Ken Cuccinelli is not only too extreme for his own party, he is too extreme for the current administration – the same administration that passed the controversial ultrasound mandate and medically unnecessary TRAP regulations of abortion providers!  At a Virginia GOP meeting earlier in the month, Cuccinelli dismissed what he referred to as “media” calls for GOP “change, re-evaluation, remake, retreat.”

When one of the most conservative members of the administration calls upon Cuccinelli to reel it in, it’s clear why we need to keep Ken out.

I think Ken Cuccinelli is right for Virginia. Quit being a liberal fascist. Abortion is the law of the land and he can’t change it. He is exactly the person we need protecting our state from federal over reach and illigal agency regulation. If you want to see a war on woman, go to the Arabian Peninsula. By the way, I don’t want to pay for your birth control or your abortion.

Exactly. These idiots that run this website only dislike Ken because they want us to buy them condoms. This is childish — Ken has a fantastic record, and they tuck tail and run.

Ken has far more experience than your man… Is this all the mindless drones have against Ken —- that he is dangerous to woman. its laughable how disgusting this is. Ken would not attack women, he is a lawyer — and has actual experience. Look at his record, and then Terry’s record. This is a no-brainer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell me where I am wrong? Ken has founded organizations to liberate women and children from human trafficking and sexual abuse. He is not dangerous to women that is absurd. And he has been a lawyer for years. What experience does Terry have AT ALL? There is no logical argument that you can make. So stop being dismissive and start thinking.
