Ken Cuccinelli has a message for uninsured Virginians with non-life-threatening illnesses, “live with it… human beings will adjust.”
It’s no surprise that Ken Cuccinelli would make these extreme comments; his career has been defined by trying to deny Virginians access to health care coverage and preventive health services.
- filed suit against the Affordable Care Act just 34 minutes after it was signed into law — a law that has already expanded coverage and access to preventive care to thousands of Virginians
- opposes Medicaid expansion, which would expand coverage to around 400,000 Virginians.
- has attempted to cut off Virginia women from access to preventive care like birth control and lifesaving cancer screenings by offering budget amendments that would have defunded Planned Parenthood health centers in Virginia.
Ken Cuccinelli has clearly taken a “live with it” approach throughout his career, with his continued attempts to restrict access to quality, affordable health care in Virginia. His views and agenda are dangerous, extreme, and far outside the mainstream. Virginia must keep Ken out to ensure we expand health care in the state — not restrict it.
