Cuccinelli spokeswoman Anna Nix said in a statement that Democrats were “out of touch with reality” because they were upset about the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) List endorsement.
What’s out of touch with reality is Ken Cucinelli’s record on women’s health and SBA List’s position on abortion.
Cuccinelli opposes abortion in the case of rape, incest, and the health of the woman, and has done everything he can to throw roadblocks in the way. He even introduced a bill that carried criminal penalties for doctors performing abortions. Last spring, Cuccinelli said, “The ultimate goal which is to make abortion disappear in America and make people want it that way.”
But most people actually don’t want it that way. Here are some facts:
- A majority of Americans support access to safe and legal abortion and oppose efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade.
- According to a 2012 Gallup poll, 77 percent of Americans think abortion should be legal in some or all circumstances.
- According to a post-election poll from the Pew Research Center, 64 percent of voters younger than 30 said that abortion should be legal in all or most cases.
- The majority of Latinos and African Americans support access to safe and legal abortion, and understand the complexity of the issue.
- According to research from the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, nearly three-quarters (74 percent) of Latino registered voters support a woman’s ability to make personal, private decisions about abortion.
Unfortunately, Ken Cuccinelli and the SBA List continue their relentless attacks on women’s health and refuse to listen to the majority of voices who support access to safe and legal abortion. That is why it is so important for us to continue our fight and grow our movement. We must fight to protect women’s health and the health of their families. Women must have access to safe, legal abortion services without interference from from politicians like Ken Cuccinelli.

CUCCINELLI , is a homophobic womanizer . He would like to see women Lose their rights to choose and the right to vote., he plans to close the rest of abortion clinics. We have left. the law in our constitution. Roe vs wade will stand! the house ,congress or senate will not touch this with a ten foot poll, because they know they will lose their seats ..the guy has 5 children but us working people cannot afford.to have more than two because they must be feed,, dress them put them through college. If they are lucky enough!
Without abortions who will pay for all the unwanted pregnancies? For eighteen years, THE STATE WILL! I will. ( do not approve having abortions for birth control!). I believe CUCCINELLI is a crazy tea partier, and they are on the way out. I will be help with McAULFFE’s campaign. . I think that CUCCINELLI is a idiot., That is goning after women, Gays and Lesbions . watch out we are woman and we are ruling countries all over the world and they are thriving and peaceful. Virginia women will see through his ambitions! support our women!……….

Ken Cuccinelli is a religious bible thumper that is set on underminding democracy. These Republicans propose to want small government and then want to set up shop in our underware. He is a typically male pig like all the ones I’ve known my whole life. We won the fight for safe abortions in 1973. Subject is closed. Also Cucc wants to tell us how we are supposed to believe as to religion as well. I believe that the 1st ammendment says it all. Freedom of religion. Not what the state says and interprets it to be. Birth control is not the answer when good birth control is available. Not all abortions are due to unwanted pregnancies. The man probably runs his family like the overbearing ruler he is trying to be with us. It’s probably this way because his wife doesn’t put up with this crap at home. This man needs a good firm back hand across his face and needs to be sent to his room in the corner.

All that to say that you want the right to abortion? Long winded… Do you seriously believe that Cucc as governor would have the power to overturn Roe v Wade? Don’t be delusional. Ken is not dangerous to women. He is a long supporter of fighting human trafficking and sexual abuses. He is a great man. Just because people don’t want to pay for your abortions doesn’t mean they can overturn it. Look at the language you are using — in one breath you say freedom of religion and demean his. Honestly, I’m worrying about you…….
